My name is Dorji Dema and I am 23 years old. I have completed class 12. After I dropped from school, I stayed with my parents in Shinchekha to help them. I had interest to do tailoring and I got the chance to learn Tailoring at the Community Learning Centre for six months in Rinchentse.

After completing my basic tailoring, I got support from Chhukha Dzongkhag to purchase tailoring machine and press and other tools to begin my tailoring startup. It was indeed a great blessing for me. This was all possible after I attended the Basic Entrepreneurship Course at Arekha held in the beginning of 2022.

I remain thankful to Economic Development Officer and the Chhukha Dzongkhag Administration for having provided such support to a youth like us in rural areas.

The net income I can make is about Nu. 5K a month and that is good to supplement my living.

I hope to expand my tailoring enterprise and relocate to a better place in future.
